How We Work with You

A clear, step‑by‑step process that connects proven capsule manufacturers, off‑grid systems and your local team into one workable project plan.

Capsule Housing is not a factory and not a property developer. We act as your project partner, helping you evaluate whether capsule housing fits your site, coordinating with manufacturers and system suppliers, and supporting your local team with technical information and project structure. This page explains how we work, what you can expect from us and what remains under your control.

Our Role in Your Project

We position ourselves between international manufacturers and your local professionals, translating technical details, expectations and responsibilities so that everyone works toward the same outcome.

We help you define a realistic capsule‑based concept that fits your site, regulations and business model.

We coordinate with capsule manufacturers and key system suppliers to align models, specifications and interfaces.

We provide technical datasheets, interface points and process structure so your local architects, engineers and contractors can do their jobs effectively.

We do not replace local design, permitting, foundation engineering or ongoing operations.

Step‑by‑Step Process

Every project is different, but most follow a similar sequence. The goal is to reduce unknowns at each stage and keep off‑site production aligned with on‑site preparation.

01

Discovery & Feasibility

1-2 weeks

  • You share information about your land, target guests, business model, budget and timeline.
  • We assess whether capsule housing is appropriate and identify major constraints (access, climate, regulations).
  • You receive initial layout ideas, suggested capsule models and a preliminary budget range.
02

Concept & Technical Definition

1-2 weeks

  • Together we refine capsule models, interior packages and any off‑grid power and water options.
  • We coordinate with manufacturers to confirm dimensions, weights, loads and interface points.
  • You receive technical datasheets and diagrams that your local engineer and architect can review.
03

Contracts & Production Planning

1-2 weeks

  • Once the concept is agreed, we help structure contracts with manufacturers and key suppliers.
  • Payment milestones, production slots and lead times are clarified.
  • Your local team begins planning foundations, access roads, crane logistics and permitting in more detail.
04

Factory Production & Site Preparation

6-8 weeks

  • Capsule units are manufactured, assembled and tested in the factory, following agreed specifications.
  • We monitor progress, share updates and help resolve technical questions between your team and the factory.
  • Your local contractor builds foundations, prepares access routes, and installs basic utilities according to the interface information.
05

Shipping, Delivery & Installation

2-4 weeks

  • We support freight arrangements and documentation, and coordinate with your chosen forwarder or customs broker.
  • Capsules are shipped, moved from port to site and lifted into place by your local contractor or specialized crew.
  • We provide installation guidelines and checklists so units are connected and tested correctly.
06

Commissioning, Handover & After‑Sales

Ongoing

  • Once units are installed and systems are connected, we assist with basic commissioning and handover documentation.
  • We remain your contact point for capsule‑related warranty issues and spare parts coordination with manufacturers.
  • Your feedback from the first seasons of operation informs future improvements and possible expansions.

Responsibilities: Who Does What

Clear responsibilities reduce risk and misunderstandings. The table below summarizes typical roles. Specific projects may have variations, but the principle is the same: local professionals handle what is local, and we coordinate the modular solution and cross‑border aspects.

Capsule Housing

  • Feasibility discussion and initial concept recommendations.
  • Coordination of capsule models, specifications and system interfaces.
  • Technical documentation from manufacturers compiled for your advisors.
  • Support for contracts, production updates and logistics documentation.
  • Coordination of capsule‑related warranty and spare parts after delivery.

Client & Local Team

  • Land acquisition, permits, environmental approvals and financing.
  • Local design and engineering for masterplan, foundations and utilities.
  • Hiring and managing local contractors, crane and installation crews.
  • Customs clearance, local taxes and on‑site health and safety compliance.
  • Day‑to‑day operations, maintenance and guest experience.

Manufacturers & Suppliers

  • Detailed engineering and production of capsule units and agreed systems.
  • Factory quality control and pre‑delivery testing.
  • Packing, loading and technical documentation.
  • Component‑level warranties and technical support for their products.

What We Can and Cannot Guarantee

A critical part of trust is being very clear about where we can stand behind results and where we cannot. This protects both you and us, and helps align expectations from the start.

We can help you with:

  • Selecting capsule configurations that realistically fit your site, budget and project goals.
  • Obtaining and organizing technical information needed by your local professionals.
  • Structuring a process that reduces avoidable delays and miscommunication.
  • Identifying common risks in cross‑border prefab projects and how to mitigate them.

We cannot guarantee for you:

  • That specific designs will pass local permits or codes without review by local authorities and professionals.
  • That shipping and customs will never experience delays due to weather, strikes, inspections or policy changes.
  • Any specific financial outcome such as occupancy, nightly rates or payback period, which depend on your market and operations.
  • The performance of local contractors, inspectors or officials outside of our control.

Risk Awareness and Mitigation

Off‑grid and remote projects carry higher logistical and regulatory risk than typical urban developments. Our experience in international trade and project coordination helps identify many of these risks early.

Logistics

Align capsule dimensions and weights with port, road and crane limits before finalizing models.

Permits

Involve local architects and engineers early, using our datasheets to check feasibility against codes.

Seasonality

Plan production and shipping so that on‑site work fits your real weather and tourism windows.

Communication

Use written scopes, drawings and photos to confirm what "foundations ready" or "utilities prepared" really mean.

When This Approach Fits--and When It Doesn't

Capsule housing is not the right solution for every project. Part of working professionally is recognizing when our approach adds value and when another method may serve you better.

Good Fit Examples

  • Remote or island locations where traditional construction would be slow, risky or disruptive.
  • Eco camps and glamping sites in protected or visually sensitive landscapes.
  • Resorts and small investors who want scalable, repeatable room types rather than one‑off villas.

Not a Good Fit Examples

  • Urban infill sites where local construction methods are mature and efficient.
  • Projects that require heavy customization of every unit with no repeatable modules.
  • Situations where there is no local professional willing to take legal responsibility for design and permits.
